So pleased and grateful to see that #A2Council passed the ord. to make sure that free period products are available in all public bathrooms! Was also awed and inspired hearing @NancyKramer speak after I did about her decades of hard work toward period parity. What a role model!

Student project mgr for "EMU Changing the Cycle" calls in support of the menstrual products ordinance. They put menstrual products in bathrooms at their own expense, to combat "period poverty". It should be EMU's responsibility. #A2Council

Had my first day of in-person classes yesterday, and I already made a friend! We hung out, had a snack together (they had a leaf, I had coffee) and then they hopped off to chill in a garden while I headed in to class. #TrueEMU #Marshall

I've only had one class so far but haven't been thrilled with my peers' mask (mis)usage in a small room for 2.5 hours 😕

Hey @facebook! I'm the elected prosecutor (DA) in Washtenaw County, Michigan. We're trying to get the word out about new laws that let people to clear old criminal records--but y'all blocked us from boosting posts, apparently because we referenced marijuana in this one. /1

Has anyone in #mutualaid circles seen "Take Some/Leave Some" bins for bags of returnable cans/bottles before? I'm trying to set something similar up locally at some mutual aid sites, but wanted to see how it has been done before and learn from others' experiences

@DrShannaK I intro myself every class with "I'm Quinn, I'm nonbinary, I use they/them pronouns." After getting misgendered 99% of the time, I've decided that I'm going to add "I will politely correct you if you call me 'she/her,' because SWers need to be used to using/hearing singular they"

@theADHDacademic So far what's worked for me is writing down all my due dates in my planner as soon as the syllabi are published (color-coded by class so it's easy to tell at a glance), and writing my reading due dates on post-its in the front of each text book. Easy to know what to read and when

#AskADHD Students, what do you do to prepare for a new school year? How do you organize yourself and get your head in the game? I did lots of color-coding, printed multiple copies of my schedule, tried to visit classrooms in advance (often failed).

Tomorrow is the last day of the summer semester, I'm done with all of my assignments, I already got the celebration balloons from Canvas, time to *checks notes* do all of the chores I put off over the last 13 weeks...
