Never mind visits, this bag is going to college on Tuesday. The excitement of actually meeting the people I've spent the last 4 months learning with is huge! #socialworkapprentice
I had this new bag for Christmas, ready for having everything I needed in it when going out on visits as a #SocialWorkApprentice
This week it has finally been on 2 outings and done some work with service users. (It was also nearly eaten by a dog, but that's another story!)
Please excuse my shouting...but tonight...I HAD HUMAN FACE TO FACE CHATTING WITH MY STUDY GROUP!! Actual people! Outside. And it was a delight. #apprentice#socialwork#normalityiscoming
@SwaGeorgie Hahaha you can have him when he's having one of his 5am yowling fits 🤣🤣 or trying to sleep on my laptop. He's lovely really but sometimes he drives me crackers
@socialwhisker I got tickets for my child and I for his 12th birthday last March, rescheduled to October then May, hopefully will finally see it on September 1st. On the plus side we keep getting upgrades everytime they rebook
*Finally* booked tickets to both parts of this for The Child and I in July. A gazillion pounds but something to look forward to, especially since all the other things we had booked have been deferred once again. Points for anyone who knows what it is!! #SelfCare#SWapprentice
@SApprenticeship Not for me. Personal and professional experience shapes us all the time. There are some things for me that will never change, but others that develop with age and experience #ValuesBasedPractice
@SApprenticeship Being trustworthy. I'm walking through a field a sheep who clearly don't trust me near their babies, and it's making be aware of the level of trust our service users have to put in us
Welcome #SWapptentice to our Twitter chat on values based practice. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #ValuesBasedPractice in all your replies.
Q1. What values are important to you and why?
This week I've discovered early mornings are my most productive time, I'm enjoying working on assignments before my working day. Today with the added bonus of a quiet house after the return to school!
#socialworkstudent
@SW_student_con Slightly off topic, but when I used to eat celebrations I'd go for a two pronged attack. So either malteser & twix or a mars & snickers. Super healthy I know. On topic, Bounty (or anything Coconut related) needs to as far away at the bottom as possible.
You may think this is a bit of fun but it’s a serious question & all will be revealed on Wednesday evening! Which, in order, takes the top to bottom slot in the Celebrations box ?! Tell us then register to discuss more next week! bit.ly/3rgIyIX#studentconnect#celebrate
This morning before work I've written 150 words of an assignment that has been a road block for me. Not much, but I am choosing to see it as 15%
Only 85% to go 🤣
#socialworkstudent
Today I made a poster (who knew that was going to be part of this!?) about social media guidance for colleagues. Been procrastinating about it for ages but a 'simple' 30 minute chat with my study group set me on the right track. Cheers guys! #socialwork#apprentice#socialmedia
Group presentation DONE! *breathes a sigh of relief*
Despite some technical issues (aren't they a given in these current times?), I think we all did really well, both within our groups and as a cohort.
So that's officially the first bit of work handed in...thank goodness!!
