Instead of state of origin they should do Victoria vs the Swans. Might give the Swans a contest #AFLSwansDees
English

Swans have been pinned 3 times for holding the ball or a throw and all 3 were legit handballs. Each of them led to a Melbourne goal. How do these clowns keep getting a gig and if you question them, they said you called them a cheat and try get you suspended #AFLSwansDees
English

Things you love to see. Players getting fed up with the rubbish standard of umpiring this year and giving the umps a well deserved spray #AFLSwansDees

If Sydney could stop giving away dumb free kicks 30m out from goal they’d be 6 goals up #AFLSwansDees
English

@EdiblesFC @BecHumphrey1 @dg6bf5 @AFL @CalTwomey They had nothing to do with the ‘go home factor’ though. Rawlings and Ball went to clubs in the same city
English

@BecHumphrey1 @SwannieCJ @dg6bf5 @AFL @CalTwomey That’s a valid statement but that can happen to any club. Think Luke Ball, Josh Dunkley, Nick Stevens, Jade Rawlings. I’m fairly sure the PSD avenue was brought up in Bailey Smith negotiations just last year, or at least was hinted at

Sydney chairman Andrew Pridham says teams that draft players out of northern Academies should have to pay a fee of $200,000 to the club that developed the player after the AFL's bidding changes were unveiled 👀

@deeceepee80 I apologise. I didn’t realise it was such a touchy topic for you. I am taking it for what it is. Showing stats that are skewed in his favour because he’s played extra games. When it’s a level playing field, those stats may not look as impressive. That’s what it is.
English

Billy Frampton league rankings:
1st for 1%’s
1st for spoils
2nd for contested defensive 1v1
10th for marks
11th for intercepts
#gopies
English

@deeceepee80 That’s true. But if you accommodate for a set number of games (12+ or something come end of the season) it gives you a fair reflection.
Could always make the case that of course he’s got more spoils and marks, he’s played more games than everyone else.
English

@SwannieCJ You go by totals anyways, not averages. A guy can play 2 games for a season and have abnormal numbers and he is the leader in that stat if you go by averages. Not a true reflection.
English

@SwannieCJ No shit. But would you expect him to be that high regardless?
English

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey If it’s fairness everyone is after, why not have the highest ranking team host the grand final? Why don’t we have all teams travel interstate equally?
There’s ebbs and flows across the board. The only unequal issue non norther state clubs want to address is the academies though.
English

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey But it’s not fair. If the northern clubs have to develop, provide the resources and time to run the academies, why should the other teams get to benefit from it?
And if there’s no academies, the northern state draft players that then leave 2 years in.
The academy system is fair

@SummerSlam Pretty pricey to watch 2.5 hours of commercials and promoting TKO products and only see 17 minutes of actual wrestling

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey Kill the only advantage northern clubs have. It’s a national competition. Can’t just say ‘seems unfair’ when it benefits northern clubs but turn a blind eye at stuff that benefits Victorian clubs.
English

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey And they use the picks to draft players who then leave as well? Victorian clubs use the northern clubs as breeding grounds then complain when the northern clubs find a way to keep players. Only travelling interstate 5 times a year isn’t enough. Having a home GF isn’t enough.
English

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey For every Petracca (who the dees shopped as well, they weren’t trying to keep him) the Giants lose Boyd, Patton, Shiel, Treloar, Taranto, Devon Smith, Adams, Hoskin-Elliott etc
Losing one every 10 years is not the same as losing the numbers the academy sides do.
English

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey Since their inception in 2012 the Giants have had 15 first round picks traded out after requesting trades including 2 x #1 picks.
Suns have lost 12 including 2 x 1 picks. Curnow left one club. Petracca left one club. Jamarra wasn’t wanted. Not the same
English

@EdiblesFC @dg6bf5 @BecHumphrey1 @AFL @CalTwomey How many Victorian clubs have numbers even remotely close to those? Not to mention they lose 1 for every 5 they bring in. The go home factor is a massive issue. For every Curnow the blues lose the suns lose Lynch, May, Rankine, Flanders, Prestia, O’Meara, Martin etc
English

@EdiblesFC @BecHumphrey1 @dg6bf5 @AFL @CalTwomey Isn’t the ‘go home’ factor a competitive advantage for clubs without northern academies? Look how many players leave those clubs and return to their home state compared to going the other way. It’s a way to develop home grown talent and not have them walk after a season or two.
English

@BecHumphrey1 @SwannieCJ @dg6bf5 @AFL @CalTwomey I’ll be honest, I’m fundamentally against academies as I feel it’s too big of a competitive advantage. I do however respect your opinion and the way you present it. You’ve also put forward a couple very logical ideas that may even it out tbf
English

@AFL In the context of the game and how evenly matched these teams are, a draw is a good result. This also shows how Collingwood aren't so cocky after failling to beat a contender like the Hawks while smashing bottom sides like Essendon and Carlton.
