for example, some of my works have taken a matter of hours to make from start to finish, while others dragged on for months. i decided a single week was a reasonable middle ground, and so i recently challenged myself to start AND FINISH a piece in a span of 7 days. today is day 4

as an artist who struggles to pump out art at a consistent pace, the best practice exercise i can recommend for artists with a similar problem is to average out the times of your faster and slower-completed works, and give yourself that much time to make(and FINISH) something new
