Theory: Sarah was Bear’s temporary solution. The wish says Nikki has to love Bear more than anyone else in the world. That means every person who loved Bear forced Nikki’s obsession to become even stronger. If Bear had pushed Sarah away and completely broken her heart, Sarah would’ve loved him less. In theory, Nikki’s supernatural obsession would’ve eased because she no longer had to “outlove” Sarah. It wouldn’t have broken the curse, but it might’ve made Nikki a little less obsessive.

@motherearthconf Mother 3 is a very linear game. Sure, the first 5 chapters do hold your hand when going almost anywhere, but Chapter 7 is probably the most open ended the franchise got when it came to non-linear exploration.

Mother 3 is cool and all but the game borders on the line of visual novels for me. Each game got more and more linear as the series went on and I think it’s worse off for it
