Continuing my legislative record of private property rights accomplishments. Today the Iowa Senate unanimously passed HF 2227 that mandates the restoration of land after the construction of electric transmission lines. This bill, which previously passed the Iowa House was built on foundational legislation that I pioneered in 2019.

It's official. Our nomination papers are filed with the Secretary of State. It will be my continued privilege to serve the constituents of Senate District 27.

The Iowa Senate overwhelmingly passed the resolution making the American Cream Draft Horse the official state horse. Seven years in the making, this resolution recognizes the only draft horse breed developed in North America pioneered in Hardin and Hamilton counties. Now off for consideration in the Iowa House. Wouldn't it be fitting to celebrate this recognition on the 250th anniversary of our country.
