@sweetanita You always have my support. SNL prides itself on being progressive and sensitive yet this reveals just how insensitive and ignorant they are.

I made another video and I could really use your support for this one. This has been an awful week for people with Tourette's and it's going to take all of us chipping in to undo the damage. Not a lot of people have really fully explained the problem with the latest SNL skit, and how it translates to real harm for those with Tourette's. @sweetanita Reading this honestly hurts my heart. You shouldn’t have to beg for basic respect. The work you’ve done to educate people matters more than you probably know, even if it doesn’t always feel that way. I’m grateful you keep speaking up, and I stand with you.

People with tourette's are twice as likely to be violently assaulted than the general public. women with TS are 4 times more likely to be targeted by sexual violence. 1 in 4 of us try to kill ourselves. over half self harm. The stereotype that we are secretly evil people who use Tourette's to get away with being an asshole is literally life threatening to us. So fuck SNL. I'm tired of spending my life begging for understanding. I have to rely on public attiutudes just to have basic rights. Just to leave the house, to use a bus, to eat at a restaurant, to go to work, use a public restroom, ANYTHING. People are calling for us to be segregated! I spend 8 years teaching millions of people about this only to still feel like we are at square one.

@sweetanita I can’t imagine ever being angry at someone over something they can’t control. You deserve patience and understanding, always.

@SweetishJeff24 I personally don’t care how people react as long as they don’t get angry with me. Some people laugh, ignore, or jokingly respond and I’m fine with that. But I also don’t represent everyone with ts so it’s best to ask when you meet them what their preferences are.

If there is something you don’t understand about Tourette’s just ask me.

@Bisscute_ I saw the "accident" and sure, you may have cut your fingers, but there was no blood on the tissue you came back with, nor was there blood on the blade so it can't have been THAT bad. Especially to require wrapping your entire arm up like a mummy complete with sling? C'mon...
