My first and only ever community input meeting was for building smart grid infrastructure in my city in 2014. I a friend and our professor turned out to be in the minority of people there who wanted the smart grid. A woman in a large crowd of what turned out to be protestors stood up and said "There is a new refugee crisis in this country: people with wifi intolerance. They have nowhere to go" and we spent the next hour getting told that people were having to flee cities where smart grid was built due to the wifi, wifi gives you cancer, and that we were shills for smart grid. This is what turned me evil.

After 30 years in the classroom, here's what I know: The system bends over backwards for the kid causing the chaos. The 28 kids just trying to learn? They get whatever's left. A mom finally shadowed her son all day, and what happened next says everything. 🧵

Really not happy with how long posts are getting here. Long posts were for very special occasions. Twitter was invented for a reason.

Remember: bombs and other munitions are Ordnance. A local law enacted by a municipal council or government is an ordinance. The spelling matters. It’s the difference between picking up your dog’s poo and dropping a JDAM on it.

I still have no idea why they decided some terrible Ricoh MFP was the better option. I was the executioner for the printer that had followed that department for years and building moves. I still think about you, HP LaserJet. I wish I could remember your hostname to tell them.

I was so upset about a venerable HP LaserJet I was being made to retire I took a picture of it in the cart as I took it away.

Distinctly thought as a teen watching some TV episode on Florida condos, "these seem like a collective maintenance time bomb."

@JulianRoepcke Destroyed hardware conveyed/supported hundreds of Americans who signed up to die because saving another is the creed, at all costs. The hardware is meaningless.

Die Rettung eines abgeschossenen US-Piloten im Iran hat die USA etwa 300 Millionen $ an Ausrüstung gekostet. Beeindruckend und bewundernswert, was dem US-Militär das Leben seiner Soldaten wert ist.

These overly long explanation posts about modern events read like AI slop. It would've taken an hour to write this and I've never seen anything like this until AI appeared. It's attention metric manipulation and it's obnoxious and filling my timeline. @nikitabier

From Relentless Strike by @SeanDNaylor, about history of JSOC, quoting commander ".... after the third or fourth one he said, 'We are not putting any FARPs [forward arming refueling point] in – FARPs are dangerous.'"

Shocked at completeness of destruction of stranded US military hardware in Iran. I would love to know this entails/influences of EP-3 incident?
