@SwimBeckRun Oh no that’s so unfortunate and heartbreaking. I totally understand the bond and artifacts of Buddy. They hold so much love and memories. Thankfully Auggie is okay. I’m sorry this happened.

One of my most heart-wrenching grief days so far. Yesterday Auggie jumped up onto Buddy’s memorial shelf while I was at work. I checked the cameras and saw too late. My dad rushed down to my house to try and stop him from taking more. After realizing how much he ate, my dad came back down to take him to the vet to induce vomiting this morning. Then he brought him (and Chloe) back to his house to keep a watchful eye on him and he washed off all that Auggie had regurgitated. I cried so hard yesterday at work I needed to step out of my room for some time. Came home, saw what was left in person, and sat on the floor and cried more. I felt like it just pulled Buddy further away from me. That green collar was Buddy’s first and the gingham was his summer/beach collar. Luckily Auggie left the clay paw print, tags, and nose print card. I’m not mad at Auggie, I blame myself for not moving these items earlier. I’m just so very sad that those pieces of Buddy are gone. I found a replacement of that collar from 2006 online, but it’s just not the same. I’m having such a hard time with this. I just wish Buddy was with me. (More fate in comment below)
