@CaleCOTC And he’s not even close because no one is lol. Last year, SGA won the chip, was scoring champ, mvp, finals mvp, 1st team nba, and led the league in steals(might’ve been year before last). This year, same story (2nd in scoring) except he missing his best teammate.

@CaleCOTC But I don’t think that’s the general consensus. I’ve seen several reputable basketball analysts regard him as the best. Nobody’s ever been crowned like this based off of potential. So it’s weird that he is

@Swimi_P Facts. But the fair assessment on each says he’s ranked where he is based on meritocracy. Lol..There aren’t players who do more on a night in night out basis who are ranked below him. Those players are above him, and they are few.

@Swimi_P Yes, but you really haven’t articulated an argument. You’re saying, “Wemby ain’t even that good”, but HOW good, exactly? Best in the NBA? No, he’s not that. Top 5? Inarguably. The other top 5 weren’t top 5 until year 5 or later, save for Luka, who has more deficiencies.

@CaleCOTC Also, numbers when you’re that size don’t typically get you the kinda credit you think, and there’s precedent to that. It’s a reason why Shaq is mainly referred to as “most dominant” and not really on most people’s mind when you talk about best, or goat, players.

@Swimi_P Furthermore, a healthy Giannis is top 5. His offensive game has more flaws. He just takes advantage of what he’s best at. He’s also a 10+ yr vet, who looked NOTHING like he looks now in yr 3. Wemby is where Giannis was in yr 7, avging 2pts less, and 3rebs more than Giannis today.
