Tapes of the late Bob Ross on PBS creating oil paintings are better than watching UVA🏀. He was at least relaxing. Now as I post this, they will surely make a run but regardless; very hard to watch. The first game tonight with Howard vs. Wagner was excellent!

@CookieHead86 @KDJmedia1 Every district does not have that rule. Many do. But not all. I know of a district from a let’s say more affluent suburban community in Westchester which does not have that rule.

Still decompressing what I walked into at Yorktown tonight between Peekskill and Binghamton. I had to leave early for my daughters playoff game. Was listening online. Jaden Chavis was very ill and wasn’t playing. Peekskill was down early in 4Q… Apparently Chavis had enough watching. He walked to locker room area and asked Yorktown staff to let him in to change. Before they could, he changed in the doorway right next to the court. Chavis walked back to the bench and checked it, completely changing the game. I’m told they had his name in the scorebook in the event they needed him. So no technical. Down 1 in the final minute, Chavis came out of a timeout - clearly looking like he was struggling for energy - and took a baseline drive around a screen and made a reverse layup to put Peekskill up 1. During the timeout before the play, Chavis walked down the Peekskill bench and chugged water. I thought for sure he was going to vomit. His cough was as deep as you’ll hear out of a human being. Once the final buzzer sounded, I followed Chavis during the celebration. He was winded. Turned to me several times and said “I have the flu.” Chavis now has his own “Flu Game.”

@cdrops3 Briarcliff Varsity Girls Final: Briarcliff 46 Rye Neck 42 Jr. Ava Makaron led Briarcliff with 16 points and numerous steals. Senior Nico Vargish scored 8 of her 12 points in the 2nd half delivering on Senior Night. Taylor and Gellman led Rye Neck in scoring

Welcome back Adrianna Scanga! 23 points -12 rebounds led the way in today’s 60-50 victory at Valhalla. Gemma Fante & Julie Labick combined for 6 threes as part of 9 three pointers made ( Nico Vargish & Scanga). Mauro,Makaron & Vargish brought the D all game .
