Pretty obvious Tony was referring to the story in the new Observer about various people in WWE, including some high up, that were musing or outright of the belief AEW won't get a TV renewal from Paramount. He pushed back pretty strongly in multiple ways.

@Switchblade97 The Khan's owning an NFL team that plays most of their games on CBS may play a role. No doubt the NFL is more valuable than anything TKO has Going to be interesting how all this plays out

@Switchblade97 Or he’s not being honest

Tony Khan says reports coming from WWE about AEW’s next TV deal are “could not be further from the truth.” TK says he’s been trying to act like a gentleman… but made it clear the old version of himself might’ve handled this very differently 👀 VIA: ROH media scrum

AEW is about to do its second-largest U.S. gate ever, and has a media rights deal worth at least $178 million annually. There are other TV wrestling companies making *substantially less* than that. AEW is also bankrolled by a multi-billionaire. It isn't going anywhere.

@Joel1998T @JonAlba AEW is the alternative but they gotta generate revenue. I’m talking about money and the way they have been. MJF is the only guy that’s WWE level rn for them. They need more

One person in WWE noted that word has spread in the company among some if not many that AEW won’t be on Paramount/Skydance (when their current deal expires) and question if they can get a viable deal elsewhere. “One person there noted that people at the highest levels are talking like AEW won’t get another deal, but those kind of stories spread previously at the last negotiations, not that they wouldn’t get a deal, but that their deal would be at the same level or perhaps a lower level than the prior deal and instead they had a 2.3x increase.” - Dave Meltzer (@WONF4W)

@WONF4W Yes with over "100" days to go can't wait until wwe gets the same treatment here

@TheRajGiri The NBA game wasn't any different, that's about what they've been drawing. Triple H screwed Shawn over taking all his talent.
