i don't understand why we make such a huge deal of the fact leclerc was for once slower than lewis. it's wednesday and people are still writing think pieces about it. it's not like his teammate is hadjar or colapinto, it's normal to be slower than lewis hamilton once in a while.

Completely understand the frustration right now, it is immense, and it’s a completely natural reaction. I feel for George just as much as many of us and the entire team do, and it’s truly painful to see. At the same time, genuinely happy for Kimi and his performance. However, I would like to kindly ask everyone to move away from the narrative that 'the team is sabotaging George in favor of Kimi'. That is simply not true. Mercedes does not operate this way, nor will they ever. The team respects and values both drivers equally, ensuring that both have the exact same opportunity to fight for wins(& WDC). Spreading rumours of sabotage is not only false, but also harmful to the spirit of 'our community'. Unfortunately, George has had some tough luck in the recent races, but the championship is far from over. George is a true leader, and I have no doubt that his fortunes will turn around. At the end of the day, we are "one team". George and Kimi are both Mercedes drivers. Let’s strive to be kinder to one another and keep the focus on what unites us rather than creating division. Not gonna lie, to finish only 10 seconds off, is really not bad. And the gap only widened to 10 seconds because Lewis and Max were fighting for position. Yes there were the VSC’s to help, but Lewis’ pace especially on the medium, was absolutely incredible… he was giving KA a run

Remember that Lewis had massive damage in Miami which probably prevented another chance at a podium. Was rapid in Australia, finished on Leclerc’s gearbox and of course got a podium in China. The only so-so race was Japan but all in all he’s been superb. All this at 41 years old, can only imagine 30 year old Lewis would be having a complete field day
