Tinubu in Jos Confirms ‘Don't Vote for Me’ Prediction on Power Supply During the 2023 campaign, President Tinubu made a clear electoral promise: “If I don’t give you constant electricity in four years, don’t vote for me for a second term.” When he took office in 2023, Nigeria had a power supply of over 4,000 megawatts and lower tariffs. Today, the electricity power supply is less than 4,000 megawatts on the average, and Nigerians are paying higher tariffs. Nigeria currently has the lowest per capita electricity consumption in the world, with a rate below 30% of the African average. Africa’s average is 617kwh, Nigeria’s is 144 kWh. This means that Nigerians consume least electricity than other Africans. In a glaring display of disregard for promises and a lack of trust, President Tinubu, during a brief airport stopover to visit grieving families of the Jos attack on Thursday, April 2, 2026, stated that one of the reasons for his 10-minute stay was that the airport had no electricity. “You have no light here I fly out in ten minutes” At a time when Nigerians are enduring days without power, our leaders cannot even stay a few minutes without it. Now is the time to stop incompetent leaders—those lacking the capacity and compassion—who prioritise their own comfort over the well-being of the people and make empty promises. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Leadership Tussle: Nafiu Bala Resigns As ADC Chairman By Funke Ogunlolu The 2023 Gombe governorship candidate and former national deputy chairman of the African democratic congress. Nafiu Bala has tendered his letter of resignation after declaring himself as the interim national chairman of the party. In the letter Addressed to the former national chairman of the party, Ralph Nwosu, Bala stated that his resignation was to pave way for smooth and effective coalition as well as restructuring the party. Bala assured that he is not abandoning the party and ready to serve in any capacity but the former Gombe governorship candidate was silenced on the David Mark-led interim leadership. The announcement came after the official handing over of ADC to the former Senate President and his team by the former national executive committee on Wednesday. During his declaration as the national chairman, Bala had accused Mark-led interim leadership of the ADC of hijacking the party through unconstitutional means and warned of impending legal action to challenge what he described as a “total surrender” of the party’s structure to external political actors. The former deputy national chairman emphasized that the party’s constitution clearly outlines the processes for leadership succession and that, in line with those provisions, he was now assuming the position of interim national chairman. Before AIT deletes this tweet, Please retweet this post and take a screenshot for the world to see that Nafiu Bala resigned as at Aug2025 and there was ZERO controversies about his resignation UNTIL someone sinister decided to later use him to forment chaos in the ADC.

The audacity required to write those words from your sitting room while criticising a man who cancelled a state function, flew to Jos on an overnight emergency arrangement, and sat across from a grieving mother and said her dead son’s name out loud to her face is the kind of audacity that should permanently disqualify someone from being taken seriously in public life. Not politically disqualify. Morally disqualify. The kind where people read your words and feel embarrassed on your behalf. Now let us talk about what Peter Obi would actually face if Nigerians made the catastrophic error of handing him the presidency he has been auditioning for since 2022. The Jos airport runway does not support night flights due to the absence of navigational aids. The road distance from the airport to Jos township is approximately 40 minutes. These are not excuses manufactured for Tinubu. These are permanent infrastructural realities that will exist on the day Peter Obi becomes president, if that day ever comes. The same curfews. The same flight restrictions. The same security perimeters. The same bilateral meetings with foreign heads of state that cannot be cancelled mid-session. The same impossible timetable of a president managing a country of 220 million people across multiple simultaneous crises. When that day comes and Peter Obi is sitting across from a Chadian president discussing cross-border terrorism while a community in Plateau is burning, what exactly will he do that Tinubu did not? Will he teleport? Will compassion dissolve flight restrictions? Will his initials at the bottom of a post somehow reach the survivors faster than 850 additional troops and 5,000 surveillance cameras? Because that is what Tinubu actually delivered. He announced the deployment of over 5,000 AI-enabled cameras, directed security chiefs to hunt down the killers, constituted a compensation committee, invited community leaders to Abuja for further talks, and the Nigerian Army simultaneously deployed over 850 additional troops under Operation Enduring Peace. Concrete. Documented. Delivered on the same day Peter Obi was composing metaphors about airport tarmacs. And this is the man who governed Anambra for eight years without building a single school. Without making education free for one day. Who told the people of his own state that education is not for the poor and made secondary school students pay three terms of fees at once until the poorest ones dropped out. Who saved money in Fidelity Bank, his own bank, and called it fiscal prudence. Who left office in 2014 with a savings account and no signature infrastructure, and then spent the next decade positioning himself as the conscience of a nation he could not fully serve when he had the chance. That man is now writing posts titled Leadership Without Compassion is

Leadership Without Compassion is Not Leadership During his visit to Benue State in June 2025, Bola Ahmed Tinubu stopped at the Government House but did not go to the actual scene where innocent Nigerians lost their lives. Similarly, yesterday in Jos, his engagement ended at the airport instead of at the affected communities. What happened in Plateau yesterday highlights a complete absence of leadership. True leadership requires presence, empathy, compassion, and a willingness to meet people where their pain truly lies. For citizens who have just lost loved ones, homes, and their sense of safety, being addressed from an airport tarmac is profoundly inadequate. This approach exacerbates the sense of abandonment already felt by innocent Nigerians who have endured repeated cycles of violence without meaningful protection or justice. Plateau deserves more than distant words; it requires urgent action and a clear commitment to ending the insecurity that continues to claim innocent lives. In such moments, leadership must not only be visible but also tangible—standing with victims, listening to survivors, and acknowledging the depth of their grief. If we truly desire a better Nigeria, we must demand leadership that is present, responsive, and responsible at all times. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Some of you really compared Alex Otti to that “bleaching cream” Governor in Enugu that looks like leftover ofeakwu. This was a clear chance to fix an issue and earn goodwill, yet he chose the usual APC-style approach, bullying instead of leadership. What an idiot.

This is the disgusting state of female hostel in UNN in 2026. Not surprised at all. When a Governor is more invested in superficial optics like bleaching cream than real leadership, embarrassment stops being part of the equation. In 2026 FGS!!!

Gov @PNMbah are you aware that Ezzy College of Nursing suspended Joy Ezeugwu? The student who complained about the terrible condition of Uwani Health Center. Mbah, lift the suspension on Joy Ezeugwu and fix the health center, that’s the least you can do as a governor.

INEC's plot to disenfranchise voters leaked, now VDM dragged BLORD to court and suddenly, BLORD is in prison. Conveniently, Omoyele Sowore has gotten involved, claiming that he'll get BLORD released... The timeline is shifting from INEC to VDM and BLORD... There are no coincidences in Nigerian politics.
