I've been posting on @youtube for 17 years, I love making content and learning art through teaching. My page has over 30 million views and now it's getting taken over by crypto scammers. Please help @TeamYouTube @Google

No actual progress on the @YouTube hijacking situation. I've been told to wait, over and over again - it's so discouraging. In every other case I've learned of, reinstatement was fairly quick. I appreciate all your support, it seems to be the only way to get through right now.

@Kurenai_5000 @YouTube @sinix777 Thanks for the tip - yeah, a few years back I told people that they could take my videos and reupload them. There is someone who made a 'Sycra Backup' channel with some of the tutorials. I had everything on a hard drive, but lost that when the town flooded.

Otherwise in the meantime. If you don't have the files of your vids, a lot of them are mirrored on youtube. You might wanna mass download all of those mirrors. Also using alt tech like rumble, odyssey or bitchute as a backup is an idea.

@SugaryAshes @Sycra @YouTube @sinix777 Although sycra had 2FA, from what i gathered from sinix's video, he had 2FA in a form of SMS notification - And this is the worst, least secure type of 2 factor authentication, because it can be spoofed or it is vulnerable to sim swapping.And probably that's what happened to him

I've been talking to people, and lots of channels have been impacted by this exact situation lately. @AdamKoralik is one of them. Thankfully, he got his channel back!

@Kurenai_5000 Yeah, I've DMed them already, I'm hoping this gets resolved. Didn't think Gmail accounts were at such high risk, even with extra authentication in place. I'd hate for anyone to be scammed by these people who took over the channel - hope no one falls for it.

If you get notified about new videos on my YouTube channel, it's not me. Someone's hacked into my Gmail and has taken over the Sycra channel. Turned it into some microstrategy thing. Don't click on any of their stuff, please.
