Dear Rialto USD Families and Staff, In light of the ongoing and unpredictable hazardous air quality caused by local wildfires, all Rialto USD schools and support sites will remain closed for the rest of the week, Thursday, September 12, and Friday, September 13, 2024. The District must prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, in accordance with South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) guidelines. All school-related meetings and after-school programs remain canceled for Thursday and Friday. The STEP-UP program for Saturday, September 14, 2024, will be rescheduled as well. Upon request, school site administration will provide individual education packets for students. Additionally, tomorrow, September 12, 2024, Grab and Go Meals will be distributed for children ages 1 to 18, by RUSD Nutrition Services from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Rialto Middle School, in Rialto. Food items will be placed in the trunk of your vehicle. The District anticipates welcoming students and staff back on Monday, September 16, 2024. Thank you.

Out of an abundance of caution and rapidly increasing hazardous air quality levels, all Rialto USD school and support sites will be closed on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. This decision has been made to protect the health and welfare of our students and staff. Additionally, all school-related meetings and after-school programs, including Think Together, will be canceled. The District will provide daily updates and information.
