During the development of Disco Elysium the team found glitches which they thought had useful properties, you can see here that there is some sort of bug causing issues with the shadowing. They actually liked this effect and intended to use it for the dream sequence.

In technical rehearsals for #FiddlerOnTheRoof @regentsparkoat this week, and I just feel so lucky to be working with an astonishing group of talented artists. There’s something so special about hearing music and performing in the open air. Audiences will be in for a real treat!
