@_martinsh 4 samples?!?!? Show me your magic, magicman

@_martinsh @CinatitSMR I didn't thi k Blender was capable of such a scale? I've tried but my hardware isn't powerful enough. I was under the impression the scale was just too much for Blender to handle.
English

Volumetric atmosphere in #Blender. Cycles. 1:1 scale of Earth.
Using it to validate the analytic multiple scattering for Eevee that I am developing for clouds and atmospheres.

@sperxyt Looks like the wings are using math to pivot and rather than being split into just 2 meshes its 4 separate. It could also be they messed up the math or didn't make a mask to offset the bend in the wings.
English

Alguém q manja de programação de jogos, nn era só ajustar o ponto de pivô das partes das asas? Isso ia afetar o desempenho?

@0nAsian Most theropods put majority of their weight onto the toes. So roughly halfway down the middle toe. It's less about the hips and more about the center of mass. The toes should be sitting below that. In humans it's our hips. Dinos vary, some in the hips, some closer to the chest.
English

This is true for almost every animal you draw. The hips should be directly overtop the feet to where you can draw a straight line between the hip joint and the center of the foot (unless the leg isn’t supporting weight or the animal is in motion).

@Midiaou7 So those two in the middle became the third eye that like almost everything, except mammals have, right?

It's amazing how the Cambrian fossil record can overturn our understanding on the disparity, ontogeny and evolution of key groups! "Thus, we propose that the four camera-type eyes represent an ancestral vertebrate character..." 🤯 nature.com/articles/s4158…

@lukiethewesly13 That's why in some of the pioneers of CGi monsters/creatures still hold up to this day. Having your subject in the dark means it looks more realistic. (2/2)
English

@lukiethewesly13 Well the darkness, that a lot of people complain about, is one of the largest factors to the CGi being so incredible. Darker lighting helps hide mistakes and makes CG elements blend that much better into the environment.(1/2)
English

The downgrade of Godzilla’s CGI in the monsterverse needs to be studied. G14 had the best CGI even in spite of being too dark. He genuinely looked more much detailed in 2014 than all other MV movies combined.
But hopefully he’ll look better in supernova.

@arvalis @comfortlracroft I think the old rex is better than the new one by miles. It's got some potential
English

@comfortlracroft the rex design is equally bad in both but for different reasons
