@bam_weather @SynopticWX I've been experiencing an issue that when I switch from certain models to another I lose my place marker that I had clicked on the map. This issue started about a week ago.

As a trough sweeps through the Great Lakes and Northeast US this weekend - it brings with it much drier air. Taking a look at data into early next week, we can see the associated lower dew points and low humidity values in the low levels of the atmosphere with our panel tool!

Some of our hi-res weather models over on @SynopticWX show locally rainfall will likely exceed 6" in heavier storms or where storms can hit the same area several times. This is not ideal for the crop at all with night time lows in the 70s and flooding rains.

A closer look at some of the parameters for this evening on our panel viewer in Synoptic. High amounts of instability and a steep temperature gradient will aid in hail and damaging wind threats while low-level helicity signals do support a few tornadoes. synopticwx.com

A stalled out upper-level disturbance will lead to heavy rainfall this week in the southeast US - flash flood watches are in effect already and some spots could exceed 4-5” when all is said and done.

Numerous Flash Flood Warnings this afternoon in the Mid-Atlantic with more heavy storms moving through the next several hours. The latest run of the HRRR highlights the ability for these storms to put down pockets of 3-4"+ of rain. Maps: synopticwx.com/sign-up

Rare to see this many pieces of model guidance be able to pick up on extreme wind gusts. Some variability in the exact placement of the most destructive winds, but solid support for a very impactful #derecho this evening in parts of South Dakota, Minnesota & Iowa. @SynopticWX
