So they pivoted away from that and to promoting eugenic policies and making blacks dependent on government and destroying family structure. None of the old wizards changed parties.

@queenie4rmnola Historically, Post Civil War Southern Democrats were the segregationist party of Jim Crow and the KKK, while Republicans were the party of Lincoln and civil rights and then they completely flipped their platforms and demographics.
