what i've learned about mixing and being the engineer is there isn't just one set way to mix a song and every mix is going to be different so there's no possible way to use a template because how are you going to invoke different emotions if all your mixes are the same every time

i think starting as a producer and then working my way into being an artist was the best thing i could ever do because i don't have to worry about splits or clearances when i do everything myself (without the use of ai)
