If the story in the Times is accurate about the proposals re jury trials it proves one thing beyond doubt - creating another tier of the Crown Court isn’t the solution to the backlog. A solution that does this much damage to the system is unacceptable. Back to the drawing board.

@J_G_Bollard No. The answer is no. Interim relief is very different to the substantive issue. But even if it was not, the fact that lawyers are still arguing about it isn’t evidence of a politicised judiciary. So let’s look at what evidence you have of that. Starting with Epping.
