@Alf954 @naveenganglani No end of the game if the perimeter defense is bleeding points. You dont win in the playoffs without wings and shooting. Trading wiggs for bron gives you neither.

Same. Wiggs shot 41% from 3 lat year. Can operate from the perimeter and is a better defender than LeBron at this point of their careers. If you have Wiggs with GA/BA you have the best defensive frontcourt in the league. Surround those 3 with shooters and you're set.

I guess I am in the minority but I really don't have any desire to sign LeBron Don't love the fit I'd much rather extend Andrew Wiggins and sign some shooters like Anfernee Simons, Quentin Grimes or Collin Sexton

@Off_SaintCL @E_3O5_ Bron could barely defend power forwards, its why he and rui never fit. SF isnt about 1 vs 1 defense, they are the ones who guard up and down on switches. Bron is not switching on guards and wings anymore. Bron defends stationary 4s now.

Bron is absolutely not guarding fast guards anymore, but he can defend ppl like tatum, brown, paolo, etc.
But I would absolutely love if we can trade norm for him instead

@HeatvsHaters Need to add a lot more depth and shooting. I feel like Norman Powell, Wiggins and Jovic are going to be gone which would allow us to get more shooting and at least another big on the roster.

@naveenganglani The first decision is what to do with Norman Powell Cap Hold. If they let go of Norman Powell, they can sign two rotation players (around 15M in Cap Space and MLE). If they retain their rights, then they are over the cap

Need someone familiar with the cap regulations to tell me how much flexibility Miami would have if the Heat signs and trades Wiggins to another team or if he opts out of his PO. How about if he opts in and then gets dealt?

@naveenganglani Opts in is worst scenario. No flexibility unless someone else is traded. Even if you trade him, it has to bring back exact money. So stuck in same cap situation, but now need to replace a 41% 3pt shooter. No mle. Nothing.
Restructuring is best path for team.

I believe Norman Powell is headed to the Detroit Pistons.
With them trading away Isaiah Stewart, they have cleared up space to sign Powell outright instead of giving assets up to the Bucks for Tyler Herro.
With Powell leaving Miami, it gives Pat Riley the MLE to bring in another talent.

Giannis to Miami feels like such a snooze fest dead end. Zero chance at contention, awkward fit, stripped down roster. A player of GA’s caliber being moved and having zero impact on championship picture 😴

An absolute DOG on defense. Can hit open 3s. Will hit occasional middies. Low key impressive at getting to and finishing at the rim. Doesn’t need the ball all the time but can play PG.
Miami already has Giannis’ next Jrue Holiday.
