They keep on slaughtering them in great numbers and won't ever give them their freedom. They would have hated anyone who did that to them, whether they were Jewish, Buddhist or Martian. The Israelis teach their kids to hate more than any other nation on earth. Because it's important to the national mission of the settler colony. Otherwise, their citizens would die of shame for what they're doing to other human beings. You have to beat that humanity out of your own people so that you build enough cruelty in their hearts to be able to kill, occupy and oppress other people in a way that will allow you to take and keep their land. In order to do all this, you must brainwash your own citizens into believeing they are the victims, they are in mortal danger and they must act with great cruelty, otherwise they will be victimized. That's how you train a settler colony to hate the people who's land they must seize to exist.
