Cut my trip short and flew back to Texas early to avoid the cold spell. Great experience at the Western Colorado Horticultural Society conference: strong interest in our work, and excellent discussions with fruit growers. Thanks to the Colorado growers for the invitation.

I was honored to ride in Aggie night at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo — America’s oldest continuously running livestock show and rodeo! Thank you to the Fort Worth A&M Club and everyone at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo for their hospitality and warm Aggie Spirit. I am looking forward to our continued collaboration with the Fort Worth community as we develop our Texas A&M-Fort Worth campus and work together to serve more Texans.

Last week at AgriLife Connect, I had the opportunity to simply say thank you. As a farmer, an Aggie and chancellor, I’m proud of the science, service, and steady leadership everyone involved with Texas A&M AgriLife brings to Texas.

Huge congrats to Jacob Muras on receiving the @AgriLife Vice Chancellor’s Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Award! For 5 years, Jacob has taught HORT 202, impacting the education of 400+ students and disseminated horticultural science to countless learners. Well deserved! 🌱

This fall, nearly 1.52 million Texans enrolled in public higher education. I am proud to say the A&M System is helping lead this growth. Six of the fastest-growing public universities in the state are part of the A&M System, and enrollment has increased 18% over the last decade. These numbers matter for a simple reason: students are our mission.
