@Jungleisverybad @Thorin were really using pre csgo era data. i can’t. nobody who thinks karrigan is the goat is using data pre csgo. he played on his first “pro” team in 2010. so the MAJORITY of his career was spent with good players.

@TBEBrandon @Thorin Take, for example, Karrigan's win over Fnatic in 2010 (whilst they had essentially prime Forest and Get_Right on Fnatic.) I WILL admit, I did not watch these games, but to say that he has only played with good players seems wrong since he has been playing from 2005 onwards.

@Brobro113657 @Thorin you must be AI. cuz i have circled when he got kicked. cajunb wasn’t but kjaerbye was at rank 16. the only time dupreeh wasn’t a top20 was when he played with karrigan 😭. also in 2018 glaive was the 8th while karrigan has never had a top 20.

@Brobro113657 @Thorin ??? the part i just circled is around the time karrigan was kicked from astralis. dev1ce ranks in order from 2014 to 2018 (20, 3,3,5,2) all three players were in the top 20 when they had karrigan. look at these screenshots

@Brobro113657 @Thorin 2/2 star players wanted two things, to Win and to make money. which faze had both. they had the star players already. you take karrigan out and see the other stars they’d still join. Faze also offered the money too. niko literally wanted him GONE.

@Thorin also people some people will say “he makes deep runs at majors” well i hope so 😭. if he didn’t we’d be looking at him like how we look at team falcons. the teams were always designed to go deep. and outside of the majors they were always lackluster

@AnonRandomiser @Jotapeee1048 @Thorin this is the correct answer, i parsed his demos and just queried for his AK rounds and his 2.0 rating with only an AK is .98 while someone like m0nesy has a 1.36. his impact isn’t as high as people probably think. at least outside of Ak rounds.

@Jotapeee1048 @Thorin I think it’s because he’s not very good on rifles and pistols. We’ve gotten used to star awpers who can do it all since s1mple and device. Even the ones that get criticism like wonderful and ultimate rifle a decent amount. Molodoy is unique in that he’s a pure awper.
