The fact that the Trash Taste podcast (Gigguk, CDawgVA, and TheAnimeMan) couldn’t immediately recognize that One Piece is a DEEPLY political series is VERY concerning when it comes to media literacy. You don’t need Hasanabi to point it out, anyone with basic reading comprehension could see it. 😭 That said, I doubt they’re actually that oblivious, it feels more like they’re choosing to deny it for whatever reason.
