I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again in light of St. John’s recent signings:
College basketball bringing in former EuroLeague/G League pros is a bad trend & I don’t like it. College shouldn’t be a fallback for pros.
I’m sure this won’t be a popular opinion & I’ll get sh*t from some St. John’s fans for having this stance but this isn’t an issue I have with Pitino or St. John’s. It’s an issue I have with the NCAA & Congress. One that literally changed the sport overnight. It’s not sustainable & it defeats the entire purpose of collegiate athletics. 2 studs signing with my college team doesn’t change my mind on this. It’s bad.

Asking people who go to work every day, and who will make less money in a decade than your top players will make in 5 months, to “donate” is just so off-putting and out-of-touch.
Go get the money from businesses and business owners. Don’t beg your fans for cash on social media.
