@RotoSurgeon Your whole point is basically naming guys who didn’t have anywhere close to the rates that Skenes has, but because they pitched slightly more volume they’re better. You don’t really have a point here or a leg to stand on, man.

Skenes currently has a 1.97 career ERA across 370.2 innings.

@IamDijami Based on percentages, it's Messi. Tougher to get solid data on Tiger, but you'd also want to know the specifics of the putt (break, pace, etc.). It's Messi - > Lebron -> Vinatieri, and I'm guessing Tiger is probably around Vinatieri's percentage.

@STL_Stats_Facts Just look at what kinds of things they’re doing even at the youth and college level to improve velocity. More and more kids are getting the most out of their arms. Went back to my D3 alumni game and almost everyone throws as hard as our best guy did 15 yrs ago.

@jessica_erstad Was 13 during the series and went to 6 and 7. Until I married my wife and had my kids, it was the most joy I’d ever experienced. So grateful to them! Btw, met Darin several times at Cal Poly baseball camp as a youngster. Was a total class act and so good to the kids there!

Darin and I were just talking about the guys on this team. At the end of their careers they all went their separate ways, made their homes , got busy with kids etc. But what they accomplished that year gave them a special bond/friendship for life.

An injustice!

@KalleSorbo Chloe Kim is one of many winter olympians who grew up around LA. Local colleges do a ski beach day in the spring. We have multiple teams in multiple pro sports leagues, plus 2 Big 10 programs. Better food and culture and economy. And I say this as someone who loves Denver.

Denver is by all accounts the only city on earth with: -Teams in all four major American sports leagues -Thriving music and arts scene -An economy large enough for real enterprise and wealth building opportunity -Access to both Winter and Summer outdoor recreation with ease

Even over the last 10-15 years, they’re in the top 20 (or better) in tournament wins, appearances, weeks in ap poll, etc. They’re just a “good” high major program. Acceptble? No. But cmon, they’re not a mid major.

No one loves UCLA more than me. I'm a proud alum. But the Bruins are a relic of the past. They haven't won a National Championship in 30+ years. They're the Notre Dame of College Basketball. Every now and then you think they're back, but they're not.
