A power move would be for HBCUs to drop out of the NCAA. Become the Athletic Prep Schools. All the students could go to HBCUs and get there AA or Bachelors, then jump into the NCAA and the kids have all there years left to play. They can then get Masters or even PHDs from PWIs along with the lucrative NIL Deals. With football and basketball being +70% Black, it would make almost everyone playing NCAA and NFL an HBCU Alumn. The bigger schools would be forced to invest in those “feeder schools” the same way they’re about to with JUCOs. It would bring a higher level of competition back to Black Colleges, generate tons of revenue, an enhanced media spotlight, an increased level of professionalism all the way around and help further enrich the HBCU legacy. Just a thought…
