@AdamMeakins Hi Adam. Think non-op - suprascaular nerve block +/- proceed ablation if works for pain. This deformity has developed over years. Mri ?syrinx. Surgical - CTA large head hemi single op opposed to grafting glenoid then subjecting elderly pt to second op for staged reverse TSR.

9 out of 10 people with a grade 5 ACJ injury can recover well without the need for surgical stabilisation! No difference between function and outcome than grade 3 injury and 96% returned back to sport! Don’t let a large deformity put you off! #Sportskongres2023

In children with elbow 💪 injuries, worth considering neurovascular status 🤔 Why? = it is estimated that 10% of 💪 injuries can have neurovascular compromise 👀 Using a Rock, Paper, Scissors, OK approach (👊🖐️✌️👌) can be a ‘playful’ way of testing 😊 ep.bmj.com/content/106/2/…

@kashakhtar Kash, person in question is a relative first + doctor second in this situation + should not have asked to be in theatre in first place. You need the correct boundaries. What if they start giving suggestions during case? Not appropriate. You need full focus for best result

An allied health colleague has referred their sibling to me for surgery (a routine procedure of intermediate complexity). I am touched that they have put their trust in me. The colleague has asked to be in theatre to observe the surgery. What do people think?
