Because Sal da Vinci is a faaar lower profile name than the previous SR winners. Especially the Måneskin-Blahmood-Marco streak was all huge stars.

@escbaran It is not because of the juries. Not only is Delta in top 3 best vocalists of this year's eurovision but also she is celebrity. There is no way that Australia will be in the top 3 of the jury in the semi-final

@daviebaby8666 @escbaran Being the most prestige artist with a fantastic voice won't qualify her. This kind of song just does not ever get points, especially from juries which would be her only saving grace. It's sad that she didn't apply with something competitive actually...

@escbaran Omg these kids are fucking DELUDED! Delta is one of the most prestige artists ever on that stage. She has a world class voice, the song is fantastic. you may think its dated but remember the majority of euro fan base is 35+ and this is a premium entrant. have some respect

@Antonisko_T @escbaran The juries are not what Delta is aiming for, they never reward this kind of song. She would have more of a shot in a 100% tele semi. Juries will push Leléka, Atvara, Aidan and Daniel Žižka before her, which might all have struggled with the 100% tele format.

@theswedenboo Not all of them will succeed but Australia certainly won't on vocals only. And that's only for the ballads, juries also reward pop entries with slick stagings like My System and Før vi går hjem and stand-out performances like Liekinheitin
