The new intervention screen in Tesla's FSD every time you cancel is the worst upgrade they've ever pushed. It's mandatory and cannot be skipped. In addition, it blocks the map when you need it the most.

None of these fit my disengagement reason and I don't want to send Tesla wrong data so I didn't pick one. But now I can't enter my destination into the nav so I'm trapped here forever

7 hours and 12 drives with FSD v14.3.2, here is my review: This is a HUGE release especially for Actually Smart Summon. Tesla has unified the model between Actually Smart Summon, FSD, and Robotaxi for the best performance and wow, what a massive change! I’m absolutely blown away by how changed it is, the response time from when you start it on your phone to the time the car responds is instantaneous. Aside from the insanely good response time, its performance is insanely smooth. I noticed it also pulls over to the spot you selected it to come to just like a Robotaxi would. Actually Smart Summon is also really great at handling heavy pedestrian traffic and heavy shopping cart traffic as I demonstrated earlier. Super courteous and confident around tough scenarios and I’m very happy to see it. You really feel the unified stack and I’m looking forward to seeing even more new features whether that’s longer range or increased speed. The driving on this build is incredible. It was already so good in v14.3.1 it’s hard to sometimes see change, but the responsiveness, smoothness, and confidence in v14.3.2 is immediately noticeable. It just took it up a whole other notch, I’d say it’s a bigger change than v14.3 -> v14.3.1 was in polish. I got to spend a lot of time on curvy roads tonight in the hills and as expected, FSD v14.3.2 did a great job there as it did before. Slightly smoother inputs than before and excellent performance even in the dark. It even saw road debris on a very dark road before I even saw it, mid corner too. Had a great drive on the highway with it tonight, it stayed out of the passing lane and had good speed control, but there wasn’t much traffic. Will get a 50+ mile drive video in the morning for everyone to see how it does. City street driving was good also, something noted was hurry’s acceleration profile was definitely more linear than before (in a good way.) Parking garage performance was good, it got right up to the ticket window in the perfect spot, then found the first available spot. It was a tighter spot, but it likes to be close up which is good. FSDs reaction time to other cars, pedestrians, cyclists and road debris is exceptional and superhuman like. Seriously impressive with v14.3 overall, pretty mind-blowing how swiftly yet smoothly it can avoid objects or other hazards. Street parking was fantastic for me. Had it pull up to my house 3-4 times in a row and each time it parallel parked or pulled up with precision and in the perfect place. Parking in parking lots was good for me today, the choices have been great and close by to entrances. Also to note on left turns, FSD all but once turned into the first available lane which is great to see. The new FSD intervention reasoning UI is cool to see, definitely more personalized + easier feedback to give. I’ve seen some people say they wish there was a navigation option, as well as it not requiring you to input something. Would like to note that the voice reporting option is also still present as well since some were wondering if it was. This update cadence is fantastic and the builds keep getting better and better. I’m looking forward to getting tons more seat time with FSD v14.3 soon on a very special cross country road trip coming up very shortly in my AI4 Model 3. I do hope the new FSD stats app is out here by then as that’ll come in very handy. THANK YOU @Tesla_AI teams for all the hard work getting these new and improved builds out so quickly. This build rocks!

Jim Simons returned 66% per year for 30 years. Net of fees, 39%. The Medallion Fund is the best track record in financial history, and it isn't close. He had a math PhD from Berkeley at 23. He broke Soviet codes for the Institute for Defense Analyses during the Cold War. They fired him in 1968 for writing op-eds against Vietnam. Then he ran the Stony Brook math department and co-developed Chern-Simons theory with Shiing-Shen Chern in 1974. That paper is still cited in string theory and condensed matter physics 50 years later. Then he started a hedge fund. The first decision was the entire moat: Renaissance Technologies hires nobody from Wall Street. No Goldman analysts. No MBAs. No traders with conviction. Just mathematicians, physicists, cryptographers, computer scientists. The kind of people who'd spent careers finding patterns in noisy data. Markets are noisy data. Every other fund hired traders with intuition. Renaissance hired researchers who didn't know what a P/E ratio was. Then they built systems that found statistical edges humans couldn't see and bet on them millions of times a day. Robert Mercer said the fund was right on 50.75% of trades. That tiny edge, executed at scale, generated over $100 billion in profits. The economics tell you the rest. Medallion has been closed to outside money since 1993. AUM is capped around $10 billion by design. Every year the gains get distributed back to employees. The fund refuses to grow because alpha doesn't scale. Most hedge funds chase AUM because they collect 2-and-20 on assets. Renaissance chose returns over fees. Then there's the part nobody talks about. Medallion's beta to the market is approximately negative 1.0. The fund makes more money during crashes. 56.6% in 2000. 74.6% in 2008. 76% in 2020. While everyone else was losing money, Renaissance was printing. $100 invested in Medallion in 1988 became roughly $2.1 million by 2018, net of the highest fees in the industry. Same $100 in the S&P returned $1,910. Renaissance was the original AI company. They were doing applied machine learning on financial data in the 1980s. They scaled hiring from research labs, not industry. They replaced human judgment with statistical models. Every quant fund running today is running their playbook. The secret was hiring people who couldn't get a job at Goldman Sachs.

I’m stunned. I just spent the last two days in DC meeting with people to discuss AI projects. These people are leaders in finance and security. Not a single one believed me when I said my @Tesla drives itself. The common responses were: 1“But you have to hold the steering wheel.” 2“But you can’t use it everywhere.” 3“No one wants to charge for two hours.” 4“It doesn’t really work. Not like a Waymo.” 5“How can Tesla be ahead if they don’t have robotaxis?” 6“The Cybertruck is ugly.” The funny part? When I calmly told them they were wrong and explained my actual experience — that I don’t have to touch the wheel, I’ve driven it from Florida to Boston and NYC, we use it every day, charging only takes 15 minutes on road trips, and it actually works better than Waymo in many real-world situations — they hated it. They doubled down. So I asked: “Do you have a Tesla?” Blank stares. My response: “Maybe don’t question the guy who actually owns and uses the thing we’re talking about — especially when you’ve never tried it.” Believe it or not, they did a 180. A few of them immediately softened and said, “I’ve actually been wanting to test it out. My wife keeps talking about it.” 😏 We are so early $TSLA.

I'm in SE PA with v14.2.5 and we don't have these issues. I most certainly would not say "a lot of work needs to be done before your average person can use it without any issues". I drive a lot of rural areas and highways and basically never intervene. I feel like I could put a blind person in the seat and it would be nearly perfect

I really hope FSD’s highway behaviour and navigation gets fixed soon. I was sitting in the passenger seat this morning while Jae used FSD. We drove 45 minutes downtown, almost the entire drive was on the highway. Watching her struggle with FSD’s decisions made me realize there’s a lot of work to be done before your “average” person can use it without any issues. Something as simple as using the HOV lane, FSD still cannot do. It randomly pops in and out with no real rhyme or reason. It will camp the fast lane while the slow lane is empty (causing two different people to flash their lights at us). Was the whole drive safe? Yeah for sure, and that’s great! But there was probably 10+ times that Jae had to intervene to get the car to do the “right” thing - including taking over so it didn’t miss our exit. I absolutely love FSD, I think it’s game changing technology. But when it struggles with “basic” driving I can see why any non-enthusiasts would quickly dismiss the technology. You can get mad at me for my opinion on this all, but I think it’s truth 🤷‍♂️

Tesla is up 66% since Jan 2024. I am up 106%. Tesla is down 10% YTD. I am up 6%. When do I stop making short term predictions? When I stop making money with it. So not anytime soon 🤣😂 Get your facts straight at Pioneeralpha.org
Frederik R@Kongyiji89

@JOBhakdi At what point do you just stop bothering with this short term stock price twaddle when you’re the literal proof that noone can predict the market. Tesla bulls have been forecasting this stuff for 5 years and have all been comically off the mark.

lord pretty flacko ⚔️
just thinking outloud: elon's competitive edge used to be his intelligence, speed and access to capital but the world's smartest now have advanced AI, closing the gap tremendously and enabling speed of GTM never before seen. private co's are raising hundreds of billions, and public co's have trillions in market cap and virtually unlimited access to debt financing -bezos is landing rockets now -grok is nowhere near SOTA -optimus delays with fake excuses, while figure & unitree are actively scaling -waymo is in every major city, robotaxi has not scaled in 1 year post-launch where are the wins? he'll need to pull off a major J curve arc very soon to change the narrative everyone says he's doing this on purpose in order to have spacex buy tesla for cheap -- why would bulls be happy about this? it violates fiduciary duty and also is immoral (if he is simply trying to increase % ownership) its not clear what the bull thesis to be heavily allocated on the name is right now, as the 'elon multiple' is fading alongside his overall aura. might be better to wait for an index pullback for better entries. IMHO there's no reason for tesla to have any kind of rally in the near-term, especially given how stretched the indexes are already "better to be a little late, than too early" has been the tagline for tsla unfortunately

Market is down 1%. $TSLA is down 3-4% almost every day for the past 5+ years! @elonmusk keeps tweeting about Grok, @grok, xAI, SpaceX — like Tesla doesn’t exist. Sure it won’t in 12 months once it folds in! No more goals or timelines to chase — it’ll be under the 𝕏 ticker!!!!! He’ll get rid of Wall Street analysts, goals, and PTs. Win-win deal for him! Stay strong rats 🐀!!
