@OfficialFBMA as if black women can't think for themselves and want their own autonomy without it being a white-supported conspiracy or a threat against black men. this is nonsense.

@MrsKadyLady This is an interesting read! I’ve never heard of the term food deserts, and to think that these people don’t have easy access to adequate grocery stores is mind boggling. #Susocialwork

Access to safe food/water is a hallmark of a community's survival. Food deserts have persisted when food/materials/labor costs outpac the ability for independent grocers to survive. With public policy advocacy, we can be the change needed. #SUsocialwork washingtonpost.com/local/dc-news/…

@charlotteSU2020 @Caitlin_MSW2020 Exactly Charlotte! Other departments cannot step up if they don’t have the resources to do so. Police are over exerted with work that they are not trained to do, and should not be tasked with in the first place. #Susocialwork

@Caitlin_MSW2020 Yes! This is what people mean by defunding the police. It doesn’t mean to get rid of the police, that’s crazy. But a lot of the calls police respond to are for non violent issues. That is where social workers can come in to help. We are trained for that. #SUSocialWork

This picture speaks a message. What do you all think? Police do not need to shoulder all of the responsibilities. Other departments in this country need to start stepping up. People are too focused on greed and what they want, how much money they can make. #SUsocialwork

@Jlynne2020 I don’t think it’s forcing the schools to abandon Christianity, I think it’s more so giving them an ultimatum. Abandon discriminatory practice or lose your accreditation.

@charlotteSU2020 I am against the death penalty as well, but when you hear about crimes like this you have no choice but to be conflicted.

@_mikaliartice I’m not too sure about this, I don’t think users of hard drugs should be criminalized, but on the other hand what incentive do they have to not want to partake in them? I think there should be some type of repercussions before it becomes too late. #SUsocialwork

@Gabriel53106666 I agree with your sentiments regarding men dealing with anxiety, but I also think that anxiety manifest in women in subtler ways that often get brushed off. #Susocialwork
