'We used to be #BuryFC fans but had a strop & latched on to Radcliffe. We bought the shirts but kept the labels in case 'we' lose anymore we may get a refund. If not they'll be on Vinted at the end of the season when we move on to Prestwich"

@trevk37 Most of it has been from making sure we meet Ground Grading requirements. Plus also building a community hub near the ground, and a major electric board replacement from a Floodlight Failure Boxing Day 2024. The price of promotion sometimes

That's a fair wedge for Step 2 of the non-league game, the loss figure per week you look at and think how exactly do they make that money back, ever? Never do, without significant bail out, it's crazy money.

Radcliffe FC, in the sixth tier of English football in National League North, lost £807k last year, that’s £15,500 a week. It was £674k the previous season. Club is trading due to increased borrowings as long term debt exceeds £2.1m

@ReviewNonLeague That's also ignoring that Radcliffe have built a Astro facility for the Community, had to replace a whole electric system fro, an abandonement v Chorley on December 2024 and Ground grading requirements.

@dubbzylad People are forgetting that we have built a new Astro facility, had to build stuff for ground grading and replace basically a whole electric board from the Chorley abandonment on Boxing day. That stuff isn't cheap

@tonge_ben81211 I was the gob on the Mike for 10 years there. Trust me, we've been worse, Look at the cash in hand figure mind. That's on the up. If a debt was to HMRC, we'd know about it immediately

@tonge_ben81211 Also worth noting that if the FA say we have to replace the Perimeter Wall fro, the lad passing away from a head injury, that's another 6 figures straight away ( granted some grants will help, but only for so much)

@tonge_ben81211 Problem is if we didn't have ground ready, we could have been barred from the playoffs anyway (Gateshead last season). Rather we finish 8th naturally than being told you can't play in the playoffs. That would of hit us harder really. Going Professional is a huge step.

@tonge_ben81211 @radcliffeboro Promotion would have killed us. We aren't ready. Look at Droylsden, Hyde, Farsley (1st time) Stafford 2015. They paid the price heavily. I'd rather have 5-10 years building up and getting ready than getting promoted this year, kicked off the park while doing the work

@tonge_ben81211 @radcliffeboro Better to get it in now and not need than be failed for not having the,. You need 6 for the Grade 2, which is the Requirement for National League North. Academy is on the car park now ready for next season, Friends of the Boro are painting it soon. Stand is a issue with Council

@tonge_ben81211 @radcliffeboro It is of we wanted to stay in the division. That was a requirement of ground grading. Like the new turnstiles that appeared in March 25.

@tonge_ben81211 @radcliffeboro You forget that some of that is from buying the extra stand down the bottom end, the 3G at Red Bank, Extra Burger Van in top corner, Bar on the Astros replacing the Tannoy and having to replace the Electric board for the floodlights after the Chorley abandonment on Boxing day 24?

What I see here is what I’ve always seen from the club - 100% total transparency and clarity, some other clubs would do well doing the same… Radcliffe are very fortunate (like a lot of football clubs) to have an excellent owner who puts his own money into the club. A club that’s needed huge infrastructure investment over the last couple of years. A fortune spent on the best pitch in the league. A ground invested in to become NLN compliant ie floodlight upgrades, turnstiles, food kiosks, fan zone etc. A lot of money (clearly) has been invested into the football club - it needed it as it was previously left to rack and ruin. A club budget or club spend is different to what a first team budget is… There’s a saying in business, you have to speculate to accumulate and that’s exactly what the owner has done, again like many other football clubs owners have done. But I’ll repeat, there’s huge difference between a club budget (football club spend) and first team budget… So relax, Jordan Hulme is still the top earner at the club on £300 a week 👍
