I speak today not from hearsay, but from the lived experience of surviving political violence. Many Kenyans still remember the night of November 8, 2012, when I was brutally attacked in Nairobi and left for dead, simply for daring to oppose the illegal procurement of Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) kits by the @IEBCKenya at the time. That attack was an assault on accountability itself. Today, we are witnessing a dangerous resurgence of organized goonism, funded and directed by leaders who fear genuine ideas and open debate. This is both a security challenge and a direct violation of our Constitution. Violence has always been the last refuge of those who have already lost the argument. As we approach the 2027 General Election, hired goons are once again being deployed to intimidate voices of reason and courage. I condemn these acts of political violence without reservation. The @NPSC_KE @DCI_Kenya should enforce the law without fear or favour and not only pursue the youths on the streets, but, more importantly, relentlessly target the powerful sponsors and financiers of this chaos. The political class should take notice that the people are watching, and the long arm of the law will eventually catch up with those who sponsor violence. We owe it to Kenya to ensure that the 2027 elections are decided by the sovereign will of the people at the ballot, not by the tyranny of the streets.

They’d just show up, pick roles, agree on the case, and go. Cameras rolling, take one, done. So every punchline Alphonse Makacha and Dot Makokha ever dropped? Pure improvisation. No rehearsal. Nothing prepared. Just talent doing its thing in real time. Kenya really had something special with that crew. And here’s the part that gets me AG Amos Wako was fully behind the show.
