Without clear assessment criteria, healthcare providers and institutions struggle to determine which digital solutions are trustworthy, effective, and sustainable. 📌 A new scoping review in the THMT journal examines how DHIs aimed at healthcare providers are currently evaluated—and proposes a structured, multidimensional framework to guide more consistent assessment, adoption, and implementation. What the study explores: • Current approaches used to evaluate DHIs designed for clinicians • Ten key evaluation domains, including data governance, usability, technical functionality, patient-centered impact, sustainability, and global context • Methodological rigor following PRISMA‑ScR guidelines and comprehensive database review • Insights on aligning evaluation frameworks with real world clinical practice Rather than focusing on outcomes from individual digital tools, the review introduces a reproducible framework that can help standardize how digital health technologies are assessed across institutions and health systems.
