But Batman & Wonder Woman with three JL cameos was considered "too much" for Superman's second movie... 🙃🙃🙃

@VelcroShoeLaces @Asterion214 Yes, the military damaged Faora’s mask, but that doesn’t mean Clark was definitely going to lose had they not. He was already adapting to them as the fight went on. His raw power and durability let an inexperienced Kal close the massive skill gap. Same thing we see against Zod.

@THOMAStheTANK57 @Asterion214 Yeah, no shit. But your argument is that he got a couple of good hits in and they "struggled to put a dent in him", even though he got dominated for basically the entirety of their encounter. Kal only got lucky by breaking Faora's mask. Otherwise, he definitely would have lost.

@VelcroShoeLaces @Asterion214 My argument is valid - The fact that he kept up at all is thanks to his insane durability. Where is the dent? He tanked their blitzes, got back up every time they ragdolled him, and adapted on the fly. He landed clean on Faora, and later flew up and started overpowering Nam-Ek.

@gray188569 @Koitoyuu37 @SnyderCastle It’s not grade school shit lol, it’s called mystery storytelling. Batfleck is actively investigating this unknown woman who keeps showing up and matching him move for move. The reveal that she’s Wonder Woman the whole time is the payoff. It worked well, and the WW intro was epic.

@gray188569 @Koitoyuu37 @SnyderCastle She is in the earlier parts of the movie, keeping up with Batfleck. Not every movie needs to introduce a character in prior films or cameos.

@THOMAStheTANK57 @Koitoyuu37 @SnyderCastle Not what I meant loll, for example, matt murdock in spiderman nwh makes sense because he was already established in his own show before, gal gadot came out of nowhere and suddenly im supposed to feel hyped seeing her? Legit knew nothing about her beside her being ww😂😂

@VelcroShoeLaces @Asterion214 They are elite soldiers who are technically far more skilled in combat, as seen in the scene, and as they should be. Cavill, i experienced in comnat, still landed on Faora after her blitz. He eventually started to turn the tables on Nam Ek, flying up, punching him hard back down.

@THOMAStheTANK57 @Asterion214 They literally dominated him. 2 Kryptonians who had theirs for less than 1 full day were able to keep up with him. Faora speed blitzed him *hard* and Nam-ek tossed him like a ragdoll. They only retreated when Kal broke Faora's mask. At no point did he overpower either of them.

@timaclaren @Asterion214 @DariusLingLing Do you remember seeing Cavill punch Zod through buildings? The way you say it would have been more than one. You probably need to re watch the scene. He only drags his head across windows. And the tanker is obviously arookie mistake. He looks back in disbelief after jt exploded

Tim@timaclaren·
@Asterion214 @DariusLingLing He STILL punched Zod through BUILDINGS and chose to willingly fly over an oncoming tanker truck which exploded behind him. It wasn’t even an issue. He could have just stopped it. You wouldn’t be getting flack if Zod was the sole reason for the city’s destruction. But he’s not.

@VelcroShoeLaces @Asterion214 Sun soaking increased his durability and possibly power, not combat skill or efficiency. The kryptonians struggled to put a dent in him on that day.

@Asterion214 So...he's had his literal ENTIRE. LIFE. to absorb solar radiation and learn his powers. We're talking 30+ years. But he still can *barely* handle 2 Kryptonians who've had the same powers for, what? Less than a day? Come on, now...

@Leanoiscool @Asterion214 He didn't really almost lose. His durability was through the roof, and the Kryptonians were struggling to truly damage him. The years of sun soaking increased his durability, and possibly power, not combat skill and proficiency...

@seanbegins87 @DCSnyder5Fan That’s the thing, why did it matter if he was framed for it? He did kill the one guy straight up - shoved him through several stone walls. Also, they’d find the bullet holes and accelerant on the ones he was framed for. Such a stupid, stupid movie!

I re-watched #BatmanVSuperman: UE after a long time. I stayed away from it because it haunted me, not being able to see the full arc of the story. "If you seek his monument, look around you" Coming to the movie, BvS has everything: grandeur, philosophy, mythology, powerful music, action, Nightmare Batman, Death of Superman, masterful color grading, meaningful acting, a serious tone, the Martha moment, and I understand the whining of it not being a popcorn flick. For God's sake, #RestoreTheSnyderVerse and complete this arc. Superman 2025 & Supergirl 2026 made a combined loss of $300M. Read the elephant in the room. For once, re-release Man of Steel, BvS UE, and ZSJL with a proper theatrical re-release window. Provide them with full positivity to see the actual magic. The fake outrage that these movies damaged the brand will disappear. People will actually care about DC again in cinemas. I say this with full confidence.

@EdensRelic @uniquemoviemom Disagree. Horror-Alien design works well. DC comics agreed and even adapted the design in 2021 for the Monkey Prince run.

@uniquemoviemom It's still a very shitty design for Steppenwolf. Looks better than Josstice League, but still is a bad design for him.

The Snyder Cut corrected one of the biggest desecrations that is Steppenwolf. Looks like a villain, sounds like a villain, and puts up a good fight but isn't invincible. I love how this scene perfectly captures how hardcore the Amazonians are. No hesitation. Including that archer clip, it shows how every single one of them are ultra-warriors

@Banyamyan_Ghost @Trampfast2go @ClownWorld Black people are only about 13% of the population. According to FBI numbers, they commit around 50 to 55 out of every 100 murders. That means they are doing murders at a much higher rate per person. That's roughly 7 to 8 times higher than everyone else.

This woman grabbed a case of Tito’s vodka, tossed it into the Uber waiting for her, and expected the driver to help her get away. Instead, the Uber driver refused to drive, got out, opened the door, and let the delivery truck driver recover the stolen vodka. Not everyone is willing to become part of someone else’s crime. Credit to that Uber driver for refusing to help.

@DanteOnDeck Not just the name, Lois arriving and vouching for Clark fully humanized him and broke the vengeance cycle. The Martha moment was the emotional trigger, not the point. It hit him that Superman was a son fighting for his mother, mirroring Bruce’s trauma. Pretty reductive take.

Batman and Superman stopped fighting because they realized their mothers share the same name and I thought that was really, really fucking stupid.

@flofer19 @ChanelRavon2 @ShredthePirate @whatuplakerss 2) That's massively disproportionate. Per capita, Black murder offending rate is 7-8x higher than White, which is consistent across FBI and BJS data for decades. Your chart hides the rate by using raw totals.

@flofer19 @ChanelRavon2 @ShredthePirate @whatuplakerss That chart uses absolute numbers, which are useless without per capita. Whites are 60% of the population, so of course they have more total offenders in raw counts. FBI Table 43C you posted shows the truth: Blacks (13-14% of pop) are 51.3% of murder arrests and 50.3% of robbery.

@ChanelRavon2 @ShredthePirate @whatuplakerss Jim Crow/KKK lynchings totaled around 3,400-4,700 Black victims over decades. In just the last 20-30 years, black on black homicide has killed far more Black Americans than the entire history of lynching and the KKK combined. Black Americans commit over 50% of murders every year
