With all this transfer talk there is one group that keeps getting hammered — Assistant Coaches. Athlete leaves → Assistant is scrambling Head coach leaves → Assistant loses their job or uproots family and follows the Head Coach on an Assistant Coach salary. HCs have 3–5 year security. Assistants live year-to-year on 1 year contracts. Everyone is debating movement… while ignoring the most exposed group in the system.

@0ilCheck @greentoepalacio lol it’s definitely the former. He’s elaborated on this before. What they are saying isn’t wrong but the fact of the matter is they try to spin it as if Gaines would’ve won the whole thing had Lia not swam. In reality Gaines would’ve still been 5th place.

@0ilCheck @greentoepalacio Random thought* You could also add that the issue of Trans Athletes(m-f) competing in women’s sports isn’t actually that common of an issue if we’re being honest(no this doesn’t make me woke or a dem it’s a prove stat). But they make it as if it an issue arises every tournament.

I don’t buy into this idea that the National Champ “just wanted it more” over the runner-up. Let alone do I think that about any spot on the podium. I honestly believe that simply placing high enough in your conference and qualifying for the tournament proves how much you care.🤷🏽‍♂️
