On Monday, July 20, GDOT's Traffic Incident Management program hosted a scenario-based tabletop exercise designed to improve coordination and communication between responding agencies in the GA 400 corridor. This exercise was designed to identify and reinforce best practices through several realistic, simulated response scenarios. Thank you to everyone who attended! There were excellent conversations all around, leaving attendees with improved readiness for response within the SR400 corridor.

We love sharing creative ways to approach TIM Training! Alec Eaton, the EMA Coordinator for the City of Brunswick, will present Operation Restoration at the Evans County TIM Team Meeting on August 10. Evans County Traffic Incident Management Team Meeting – Georgia TIME Task Force. Operation Restoration is a City of Brunswick-developed emergency management training framework designed to improve how incident commanders, command staff, leaders, and partner agencies make decisions under pressure during complex incidents. Alec shared: "Built on NIMS, ICS, and HSEEP principles, [Operation Restoration] moves beyond the traditional tabletop model by combining structured simulation, realistic injects, and measurable outcomes to strengthen command, coordination, accountability, and public communication. Tested through Brunswick’s multi-agency Operation Cascade exercise, the framework offers a practical, scalable approach to preparing teams for the demands of real-world response." Want to connect with Alec to learn more about this exercise? Reach out to info@timetaskforce.com and we will put you in touch!
