Previously, we announced that token mining will soon switch from $PEN to $INK (please update your app to the latest version if you haven’t already). Today, we want to clarify the differences between these two tokens and why both are essential to our ecosystem. $PEN will be used as the gas fee token on the cPen blockchain when we have the open network, ensuring smooth, secure on-chain transactions. Looking ahead, $PEN will play a key role in the future development and governance of the cPen blockchain. In contrast, $INK is designed for in-app purchases within the cPen App. Similar in spirit to Telegram’s Star—but with a major upgrade—$INK will be fully on-chain and transferable, giving you enhanced control and flexibility in your app interactions. Eventually, we plan to separate the cPen blockchain from the cPen app to form the cPen Foundation. Why will we buy cPen tokens? We previously announced that we would regularly purchase cPen tokens. Based on community feedback, we’d like to clarify/correct our strategy: Liquidity Pools Purchasing cPen tokens is not intended to boost liquidity pools. As detailed in our Coin Economics, the Treasury pool already holds reserved liquidity tokens, so there’s no need to buy additional cPen tokens from the market for this purpose. cPen App Project Development We will acquire cPen tokens to support the development of the cPen app. Although our Coin Economics includes an Ecosystem Pool, its reserves are allocated for the cPen blockchain ecosystem.
