We are so excited to welcome new teachers to TISA this week! They are busy learning about TISA and preparing for a new school year. They will be joined by the rest of the faculty next week. Look out for posts all next week to introduce each new member of the TISA faculty!

🎉 In April, TISA students excelled at the SASMO Maths Olympiad! Congratulations to our brilliant medal winners: 🥉 Selina R (P7) - Bronze 🥈 Halima C (P6) - Silver 🥇 Ian Y (P7) - Gold Ian, our gold medalist, will proudly represent TISA in an upcoming competition in Singapore.

The P8 Graduation ceremony was a huge success; featuring a breakfast with students and their families, a formal ceremony and then opportunities to celebrate together with photo booths, graduation caps to sign, and goodies jars to take home.

We're thrilled to share that our students took charge and led their own conferences at TISA on April 12-13. The Student-Led Conferences were a huge success, with our students sharing their academic progress, growth, and goals with their teachers and parents.#StudentLedConferences

As part of our Literacy Month celebration, we welcomed book sellers from Ali & Nino and Chiraq Bookstore to campus today. We are grateful to our community partners who help ensure that learners have access to a wide variety of reading materials at home as well as at school.

This week, students in P4-8 participated in a student-organised chess tournament. The focus was on promoting a love for the game, while learning new skills and strategies. It was great to see so much enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

This beautiful photo captures the magic of a music lesson at our school. The teacher's hands dance across the keys of the piano, while the students lift their voices in song. It's clear that music is not just a subject, but a shared passion that unites them all.

We are thrilled to be back from spring break and to see all of our students' smiling faces again!

The P5 world language learners had fun planning for a fashion show in different languages. They described each other’s clothes in French, Russian and Spanish and enjoyed the Catwalk.

Wacky Hair Day at TISA!

Today, we celebrate Fire Tuesday, “Od Çərşənbəsi”, the second of four festive Novruz Tuesdays. Lighting a candle for each family member and jumping over a bonfire are important rituals that are carried out on Fire Tuesday. Symbolically purifying fire burns all past failures.

P4 students are engaging in fun and educational activities with their parents by playing math games. These games not only help to reinforce math skills but also provide an opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children.

The P8 learners engaged in thinking about Multilingualism and its role in their PYP Exhibition. They shared ideas on how they could make their linguistic and cultural diversity visible in the PYPX.

DP Economics students visited World Bank last week to learn about Green Growth and economic opportunities with a focus on Azerbaijan.

On February 2nd we had our 100th day at school. Some P4 students counted out 100 things for our 100 collection board. It was a lot of fun plus we practiced our counting skills.
