Was fortunate to experience his father and my grandfather who were also both emotionally regulated and curious men before their passing. The other kinds of men make the loudest noise and are more popular in this world unfortunately

Random reminder for men; regulate emotion+ practice curiosity for the benefit of all the cousins, nephews, sons, brothers, uncles and fathers in your lives and most importantly for yourselves. I am still reaping the benefits of a curious-regulated father decades after his passing

I usually receive editing queries from recommendations and via email marketing. But I'm putting this out here, just in case: I am open for #editing jobs for fiction and nonfiction manuscripts. Danke.

It's even more complicated than that: “That’s the paradox of being a black artist — you got to want to be looked at by these people who *you hate looking at you.” —  Fred Moten [0:52] Morrison saw this as a problem of pornography/ voyeurism inherent to representation.

If you’re looking for free books, try Project Gutenberg. It hosts over 75,000 public domain classics that can be downloaded legally. Shakespeare, Dickens, Austen, etc. Great way to read widely without resorting to piracy. Support African writers, publishers and booksellers. Stop piracy and IP theft. Those of you distributing/ selling pdf files of our books, change your ways so that you do not lose something precious to you. Ẹ ye ja’le mọ! Ire o. gutenberg.org

there’s this book i read, The Madhouse by TJ Benson. it’s set in the 70s/80s and one of the events in it was people hiding their children from collecting vaccines for chickenpox, small pox, measles and co from nurses bc the vaccines were “evil”. almost 40 years ago.
