We wanted to reassure everyone that our campaign is still going strong and we are never giving up. Quite the opposite. We are making plans for our next moves. There are many potential options and lots we can do. This is far from over. Public awareness has grown enormously in recent weeks with celebrities backing our campaign and the associated publicity. Work in this area is continuing. This is a time for us all to pull together as a community and show this government we will not be ignored. You are all phenomenal and skilled advocates, you’ve had to be. It is clear that Josh MacAlister is not going to prioritise the therapeutic needs of adoptive and kinship families. He appears to have a large blind spot in the area of adoption in particular. If he won’t listen we will lobby his boss @bphillipsonMP and ask @RachelReevesMP to find the money. This fight continues. You have all had to fight so much already and we are so sorry that you have to do it again. Please know our campaign team will be right here fighting with you every single step of the way. A lot of the last 8 weeks has felt chaotic. Full of love but equally matched by mayhem.

This time last year, we had just finished her big girl room in the new house. She got 7 precious weeks in it, and was proud as punch of her bunk bed. I was worried she would miss her cot, but she always surprised me. Slept like the angel she is. X

Do you know an economist that could help with a specific piece of campaign work?  Do you have any contacts with celebrities or people in the public eye who we could ask to support our campaign and raise its profile?  Do you have any contacts with legal teams, specifically lawyers and barristers?  Do you have contacts in the media, in all of its forms, that you could introduce us to? Are you a kinship carer interested in joining our campaign team?  Do you know someone who knows someone who could help?
