What so many miss is that Smiths popularity is based on lies, people believe she is standing up for Alberta, when she is doing the opposite. So replacing her is easy, just put in place someone that actually follows thru and puts in place real firewalls etc and they will he so popular the ndp will be wiped out in next election It's really this simple @Martyupnorth @JeffreyRWRath

I am fiercely loyal to Alberta and Canada and will be voting for our province to remain in confederation Kicking the can down the road only prolongs an emotional and important debate, and muzzling the voices of hundreds of thousands of Albertans who want to be heard is unjustifiable in a free and democratic society. It’s time to have a vote, understand the will of Albertans, and move on. Read my full op-ed here: calgaryherald.com/opinion/column…

Hey @ABDanielleSmith How about letting us vote on some other BS you're ramming through parliament. Or better yet. LET US VOTE ON A NEW GOVERNMENT. Its impressive that somehow you are worse than Kenney AND Redford.

STATEMENT ON PROVINCIAL ADDRESS The Premier of Alberta intervened to lower the threshold for getting a separatist question on the ballot. She then intervened to eliminate a review requiring the question be constitutional. She intervenes again tonight after yet another court has told the separatists to slow down and follow the law. The premier can wrap these actions in the words of democracy, but she is willfully ignoring the will of the vast majority of Albertans who want no part of this separatist conversation. The simple reality, a reality you would not find in her speech, is this: she has pushed along a question because a group has threatened to bring down her and her party if she does not. Her internal political problems have become our national crisis. The Premier asserts her patriotism. I will take her at her word, but I will remind her a patriot puts country ahead of party. A leader steers the agenda, rather than having it blindly dictated to them. An Albertan finds ways to do what’s right, not justifications for doing what’s wrong. This baffling, referendum-on-a-referendum question will do nothing to settle anything. It adds another layer of confusion. It will divide. It will distract. It will damage. I hope her government will consider how to step back from this madness before the damage to our province’s social fabric and economy is too great. Corey Hogan MP Calgary Confederation

The reason EDM cant bargain is because the whole city knows what we need. Its simple supply and demand. 1.5 million people need a goalie? Heres Jarry. 5 mil a year? Microscope. Lets not show our hand this year?

Premier Smith says it shouldn't be up to a single, unelected Trudeau-appointed judge should overrule the 700K Albertans who want a separation referendum. She also suggests she would appeal this all the way to the Supreme Court.

Great news Alberta! A critical milestone has been reached under the Canada-Alberta energy agreement (MOU) so that our province can expect approval from the Federal Major Projects Office for actual construction of the West Coast Pipeline on or before September 1, 2027. When achieved, this would be the fastest approval of a major oil pipeline from Alberta in a generation! This project will deliver 1,000,000 new barrels of Alberta oil every single day to new Asian markets, creating jobs, strengthening our economy, and generating a phenomenal amount of wealth for Albertans and Canadians for decades to come. And just as importantly, Alberta has successfully fought to permanently end Justin Trudeau’s punitive oil and gas production cap and roll back his absurdly high industrial carbon price to a much more realistic level that will save our job creators over $250 billion and protect the livelihoods of Alberta workers. This is what happens when Alberta stands strong.

@OCpatriot_ @vietnamsounds10 When you call a repairman because you cant wait a few days for parts... is that not the definition of convenience and also doing something you dont want to do? Good for you for finding a way to get it done. But dont call trades people predatory. Its a skill.

@vietnamsounds10 When you go out to eat you're not paying somebody to do something you can't do, you're paying for the convenience of having somebody do it for you, and for the experience. Completely different scenario.

Water heater died last night. 5 yrs old, still under warranty. Called Manufacturer, they said they'd send parts, but that'd be 4-6 days. Couldn't leave my family without hot water that long. So I called local repair company, they'd been there 5 minutes when they quoted me $1,100 to fix it. Wouldn't break it down to parts and labor until I leaned on them hard. - $300 parts - $800 labor For 30-40 minutes of work. For a water heater that cost me $700 with sales tax. I called the manufacturer back and told them the situation and that I planned on buying a new unit at The Home Depot and install it myself (I'd installed my current one). Rheem said no problem, take your old one with you and we'll give you full credit towards your new one. With the military discount from my buddy that was helping me, I was out of pocket a whole $65 when it was all said and done, and even traded up a model with a longer warranty. Thank you Rheem, thank you Home Depot. Fuck off predatory appliance repair companies.

That’s TSN’s clip Spec. That’s what you’re not understanding. When @spittinchiclets posted the clip of you asking McDavid why he’s a loser after the Olympics someone else made that clip. At the bottom it’ll usually bring you back to who made the original clip. When you asked McDavid that original question when you blocked Whit it was a misunderstanding. We love Spec. EVERYBODY READS SPEC. What’s wrong with the Oilers @SportsnetSpec? I want zero smoke with you Spec.
Mark Spector🇨🇦🇺🇦@SportsnetSpec

Funny, when the question leads to some friction, @spittinchiclets edits it down disingenuously and makes sure to includes the reporter's voice. When it goes well, they edit out the reporter and collect the clicks. @BizNasty2point0

@BleedOilBlue Stop. Passing. Give away after give away in the neutral zone. Even by Mcdavid. Ducks are plugging the middle. Cross slot passes are killing us. Just shoot the puck and crash the net (even though it pains me to say that as a fan who survived the decade of darkness)

After sleeping on it… here’s what I’m seeing. Oilers McDavid, Draisaitl and Hyman all look banged up. Coming back into their own zone, all three look slow. McDavid has looked frustrated ever since the first period of Game 1. I have never seen him play like this. Bouchard has too many turnovers. Same goes for Nurse and Walman. Ingram was solid in Game 1 and the first period of Game 3, but 13 goals against in 3 games isn’t good enough. The Ducks have a clear game plan and they’re executing it. They’re flying. That said, Oilers tied Game 2 late in the third and had the lead in Game 3. Make the right changes and control the pace in Game 4. But that sounds like a pretty big IF!

Bizarre was a Canadian series that ran from 1980–1986. One now considered controversial bit in the show was The Bigot Family, known for uncensored sketches full of swearing, sexual innuendo, slapstick violence, casual offensiveness, ethnic slurs, accents, and punchlines that feel extremely dated and offensive by modern standards. Definitely material that would be considered highly offensive today. Have you ever watched this? I’ve never even heard of it.

The word cancer changes a life in an instant. No one is ever ready for the decisions that follow. That’s why we’re lowering the breast cancer screening age to 40 and helping cancer patients preserve their chance to have a family by funding fertility treatments through a new oncofertility program. Because every Albertan deserves hope, support, and a future beyond their diagnosis. See news release here: alberta.ca/release.cfm?xI…
