I have played a lot of melee (probably my most played game after, like, competitive programming) so was pretty excited to get to play him. the setup was mega laggy but we played for a while. I took one game (he played falcon and wasn't trying that hard). would not use the phrase "beat him to a pulp," i'd obviously get washed in a real tournament set lol. not sure how Jeremy even heard this story but seems his sources run deep :)

@TheAhmadOsman I think the only reason OpenAI has appeared to be friendlier than Anthropic to open source / 3rd party harnesses is because they have enough compute to handle it I don’t see why they would fundamentally take a different stance

ICs players have actually gotten better overall results after the ban (MOF, Nicki, Saltinyoureye, etc.) Also it wasn’t just top players who were complaining it was spectators as well. I think you just gotta practice your handoffs broski.

@scaling01 It’s not crazy if you overfit to it. The first thing you need to learn is speculative buzzing. Pattern match -> buzz -> compute while speaking. There used to be a game, FTW, that kids would use to practice.
