Speaking to my mum last night. She’s 83. This is her certificate of citizenship. She scrubbed floors and worked stations for no wage: just room and board. All for a better life for us kids She walks around the Pilbara with her Yes shirt. Not one of her non Indigenous “friends” are voting yes. When they ask her why-she says this: “Our entire lives all we have heard is “no” Before I die; I want to hear Yes. It means that much-and I cannot argue with that ❤️🖤💛

This is my 93&1/2 year old Mum voting. A life time of compassion equality & desire for all people to be affirmed & rights recognised. According to her todays’ vote was the most important in her life - a resounding YES to Constitutional recognition and voice to parliament.
