Kinda reminds me of this joke:
A German couple has a son who, by age six or seven, has never spoken a single word. Doctors find nothing wrong. The parents have given up hope. Then one morning at breakfast the boy suddenly says, "Mother, the toast is burnt."
The parents are stunned. His mother bursts into tears: "You can speak! You've been able to speak all along! Why have you never said anything?!"
The boy shrugs and says: "Up until now, everything was satisfactory."

@TLEbird @owenbroadcast Maybe they just don’t want to or they’re worried that if they started flying people would expect it all the time
English

always interesting and jarring to see normal people’s idea of what a dumb question is. “why would the earth form into a sphere?” and “what prevents penguins from flying, and why would that be an evolutionary advantage?” are actually high level. can the average adult answer these?
Rock Solid@ShitpostRock
What do you do in this scenario?
English

I’m primarily looking for serious answers here.
If a book is
1. Not illegal to own.
2. Won’t put you on an FBI watchlist to own.
3. Available pretty much anywhere books are sold.
then what constitutes a book being “banned” to these people?

Wouldn't it be funny if he said "Wow, extremely compelling. I'm seriously fucking gay."

Daily Wire Host Michael Knowles reacts to famous "Dancing Israeli" edit by @Red5djedi "WOW, extremely compelling. I'm not being ironic."
English

@owenbroadcast because an albatross is heavier than a puffin, but its wings are ginormous. I think its gotta be the wingspan, not the weight. imagine if they did flight though. wow, that would be fucked up...
English

@owenbroadcast Do you lean more towards "its too fat" or "their little wings aren't designed for flight"

@shortmagsmle To be fair, there's probably not a lot of ground between a gypsy and a claude model. Both can do quite a bit of financial damage before you even notice.

Lindsey Graham is yet another political IQ test. His legacy is staunch advocation for getting one of our guys on the Supreme Court, and loyalty to Trump. Grandstanding over principles and picking apart pieces of his life is childish and weak. He was a Man in the Arena, and he moved the ball down the field. America would be a better place if there were more Lindsey Grahams.
English

@shortmagsmle Both of their windpipes had been deeply abused by the end of their lives.
English

@TLEbird George Floyd and Lindsay Graham…both good for the show, but ultimately not winding up in the same place

now that i think about it
could the whole “our model is soo good that even government is banning it” was a strategic marketing stunt??
