Inside Säbener Straße, employees from multiple departments gathered at the headquarters tonight, watching Manchester City vs. Real Madrid and clinging almost desperately to the illusion of a miracle that would somehow keep Madrid from advancing, an illusion that shattered instantly with the final whistle. From my position as a journalist who has covered Bayern Munich for years, I can say this with absolute clarity, the aftermath was described as an almost embarrassing, hollow silence, drained and defeated, with the entire club now slipping into full-blown panic mode, from boardroom figures down to ordinary employees, at the mere thought of facing their long-standing trauma opponent Real Madrid, a level of fear and fragility I have never witnessed before.

As a Bayern Munich journalist, Liverpool used their pulling power to ask about Michael Olise. Bayern Munich responded with a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet which confused Richard Hughes and Arne Slot. The spreadsheet in question listed six players and a number - Isak (4) - Wirtz (12) - Ekitike (22) - Kerkez (3) - Frimpong (3) - Leoni (0) Then it listed another number - €380,000,000 At the bottom of the spreadsheet was a note from Max Eberl who explained the numbers. It said: "Liverpool spent €445m this summer and the new signings have a combined goals/assists totaling 44. From my perspective, Liverpool pay €10,000,000 per goal contribution and since Michael Olise has 38 contributions for Bayern Munich this year, I will set his price for the going rate that Liverpool are okay paying." Richard Hughes was left fuming and my sources tell me Arne Slot still doesn't understand it.

I keep wanting to reiterate how insane it is that I attended two Bayern games that were a 5-1 and a 2-0 and only Kane and Diaz scored. THATS HOW GOOD THEY ARE 7 goals in 2 games, all scored by just these two

People on tl are scared of “Real Madrid” BRING IT ON I SAY, CMON THEN We lose then we lose lol, just means we aren’t good enough, but imagine how good it will feel when we do win We’re the best team in Europe ffs, people need to act like it. I wasn’t scared of Madrid in 2024, nor in 2017 or 2018 Neither teams have anything to be “scared” of each other. I’ve always seen it as a challenge waiting to be conquered.
