Keep her in !!!! I did the exact same thing with 3 ferals. It was a mom and her 2 orange tabby boys, and I don't regret doing it for one minute. I'm not going to sugar coat it. It takes patience but it's well worth it. Since you already have her in, and she lets you pet her makes you're way ahead of it already. Staying outside gives them a life expectancy of about 5 years at most. They face predators, diseases, worms, flea infestation, and not to mention vehicles and people that hate cats and kill them for their sick joy of it. Keep her in. She'll be fine. She's a little freaked out being in a strange place but she'll get used to it and love it.

I'm looking for a little reassurance.
I trapped my first feral cat and had her spayed this past Wednesday! 🎉 The clinic estimated her to be around 4 months old and recommended releasing her the day after surgery.
I haven’t been able to let her go yet — I’ve been feeling a lot of guilt about returning her to the outdoors.
She’s young, and though she’s very scared, she does allow me to pet her. I keep thinking maybe I can socialize her. But she hides constantly and is terrified of me, even in the safety of our bathroom.
I know releasing her might be the right thing, but it breaks my heart thinking she won’t have the warmth, love, and security she could as an indoor cat.
Any advice or experience would really help right now

@timony001 Can't answer that. I won't lower myself to show empathy for any of them.
